The biggest problem we’ve seen in the nutrition and exercise field is misinformation. Many times, people put together their own health routines from information they received from friends, saw on TV, or read on a blog. But there’s one problem: none of this information is tailored to their specific body or needs. No wonder most nutrition and exercise fails to get people their desired results!
Putting the “Personal” back into Personal Training. PhitCulture prides itself on providing a variety of scientifically proven methods that will keep your body guessing and changing. We specialize in corrective exercise, weight loss, core training, and flexibility. Our trainers are experienced industry leaders when it comes to providing proper motivation and education. With our online and 1-on-1 coaching system, and a failure-is-not-an-option attitude, we will get the results you want.
Our nutrition philosophy is simple ... the more whole foods, the better. Fueling up on as many vegetables as possible give us energy, prevent disease, help maintain a healthy weight, and improve digestion. There’s simply no better food on the planet. After that, every person is unique– some do well with meat, others tolerate grains; some need to prioritize an anti-inflammatory diet, easting for specific medical diagnosis, others need help reducing sugar . We work with each client to come up with the personalized solution that makes him/her feel their best. All done through gradual, weekly changes that never seem overwhelming, but add up to big results.
Analysis and Discovery is a consultative-style session.
Aside from introducing you to our programs, we’re going to gather some information we will need about you in order to present you with the best plan for your nutrition and fitness goals.
The online questionnaire will take a few minutes and will allows us to be prepared for you when you come in to complete your Complementary Fitness Assessment.
After a full analysis, we will present you a customized fitness/nutrition program that is in sync with your goals, medical requirements, lifestyle, preferences, schedule, and sticking points. All you have to do is choose how you want to carry it out.
As a former Corporate Manger with an MBA from University of Phoenix, I am highly skilled at helping my clients take action. However, I also know through personal experience, how too much left-brain focus can disconnect you from your body, spirit, and purpose in life.
Like you, I found myself searching the internet, reading books, trying fad diets, taking over the counter weight loss pills, and speaking to people at the gym about their journeys, hoping to learn how to start mine. Well, it wasn’t easy and took some time, but I found my way …
My love for physical activity goes all the way back to my teenage years where I participated in many school sports like basketball, swimming, tennis, volley ball, softball, and handball to name a few. It was not until 2001 that I truly learned about the weight room with my husband’s guidance and where I quickly learned to love bodybuilding and everything that came with it! Weight training and proper nutrition has been part of my lifestyle for over 20 years. Health and Wellness has always been at the forefront of my life.
In 2015 my goals shifted and I started competing in the NPC/IFBB organization. My first competition, I placed fifth, immediately after that I went to do another in the same year and placed second. In 2016 I competed and won my class, the open class, and the overall figure titles in two shows back-to-back! In 2017, I competed and won my class and the open class, again. Four weeks later, I went on to compete in my first National show, NPC Team Universe. This is where I won two classes and placed fourth in my open class and earned my IFBB Professional status.
I studied at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and became certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners as a Health Coach. As a passionate Certified Nutrition and NCFS Strength and Conditioning coach, I realized the critical importance of helping others live whole, healthy, spiritually connected lives. My approach is not to dwell on calories, carbs, fats, and proteins. It is not to create lists of restrictions or good and bad foods or provide fitness routines that don’t work. Instead, I work with my clients to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun and rewarding.
With over two decades of practicing weight training protocols and multiple diet theories, and most importantly, real-life, in-the-trenches experience with others, my views are radically different. I appreciate, and share with clients, that health and wellness is a choice, a lifestyle and not about peer pressure, or satisfying the status quo. Living a healthy life is for everyone, every day, by choice.
